Teleo Logistics’ Jens Behrend Holds workshop on Maritime Mediation and Negotiation

On Friday 30th of June, Teleo Logistics’ Commercial Manager Jens Behrend (Master of Mediation, Systemic Executive Coach) held a lecture and workshop on maritime mediation and negotiation at the University of Copenhagen (ELSA Law School on Maritime Law), presenting the mediation process as an alternative to litigation and arbitration in order to resolve commercial shipping and logistics disputes. Litigation and arbitration can be costly, time-consuming and confrontational, with parties afterwards frequently going their separate ways, never to do business together again. Mediation offers an alternative to traditional dispute resolution but, most importantly, puts control over the outcome into the hands of the parties involved.

Common shipping disputes which could benefit from mediation include cargo claims, charter party disputes, sale/supply disputes, shipbuilding contractual disputes, collision claims and pollution claims.

Since 2013, Teleo Logistics have been handling a wide variety of domestic and international commercial cases in the shipping industry as a mediator and co-mediator. They can gladly offer mediation and negotiation-support for the AiO Network Partners. Please do not hesitate to contact them!

Logistics is a word that you would see most often on the side of trucks. it might sound like a simple-enough business of moving things around, but it is growing to be more complex than this. Good logistics can make all the difference to a company’s ability to serve its clients. In an ever changing world of commerce, where the process of doing business with end users keeps evolving, the importance of logistics becomes more prevalent. At 2020 Logistics we know that the word has an even bigger meaning: it is all about the management of the flow of materials through an organisation, from raw materials to finished goods – ensuring the successful delivery of the right product to the right place at the right time. The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination to always apply the best of ourselves to any situation. Our aim is to follow a forward-thinking, proactive approach to all shipments thereby ensuring that all global freight forwarding and procurement challenges are effectively managed. At 2020 Logistics we have a clear vision in mind – to ensure we do everything we can, to move your business forward.
